During Native American Heritage Month, Special Collections Research Center is celebrating Edward S. Curtis’s masterwork: The North American Indian. Join us in an examination of Curtis’s life and times. 130 of Curtis’s photographs are on display throughout November. An informal talk by Beth Martell is scheduled for November 14th at noon in the Hall of Presidents inside Special Collections at Morris Library. Dr. Gray Whaley, SIU History Department, will speak on "American Indian Activism and the Primitive Imaginary in the Age of Edward Curtis." Bring a brown bag lunch and join the conversation!
