Librarians on Library Role in Recruitment & Retention
Morris Library faculty members Melissa Hubbard and Amber Loos published research on academic librarian participation in university student recruitment and retention efforts in a recently released special issue of Reference Services Review on "The Role of the Library in Campus-Wide Recruitment Efforts".
In "Academic Library Participation in Recruitment and Retention Initiatives", Hubbard and Loos sought to document for the first time how and how many academic libraries are involved with university efforts in this area. They found that libraries are active contributors in a number of ways, especially related to retention.
Melissa Hubbard is Morris Library's Rare Books Librarian and Amber Loos is the Health Sciences Librarian.
