Barbara Bickel's Dream Working: A Participatory Art Installation will open in the first floor rotunda on Monday, February 11. The centerpiece of the exhibit will be a tapestry Dream Scroll, hung from the center of the rotunda ceiling.

Dream Working: A Participatory Art Installation is an ongoing piece of social practice art that began with the Gestare Art Collective in 2011 in Canada. Barbara Bickel is a Art Education faculty member in the School of Art & Design and is a member of the Gestare Art Collective. This will be its 8th installation. In January it was installed in the Vergette Gallery on campus for 4 days. Art Education students will be involved with this  installation.

The goal is to display the Dream Scroll and encourage further participation by the University and local community. During the exhibit visitors will be encouraged to walk the labyrinth and explore different kinds of dreams (day dreams, night dreams, aspiration dreams, etc.) pertaining to the university and community.

The exhibit will run until March 1.
