SCRC Receives Grant for Mary Carus Exhibit

Petticoats and Slide Rulers: The Life of Mary Carus, a traveling exhibit and programs on Mary Hegeler Carus during Women’s History Month in March 2013 created and curated by the Special Collections Research Center received an Illinois Humanities Council grant. Carus was a distinguished mining engineer, industrialist, and philanthropist during her time in Peru, Illinois, in the early 20th century.   For more information, see the Illinois Humanities Council's website.
