Blood Drive Sets Morris Library Record
Jennifer Freeze from the American Red Cross confirmed that the 36 units of blood were collected last Thursday was the most ever donated during a Morris Library Blood Drive.
The deferral rate (those who volunteer but aren't able to donate) was also very low, only 3 out of 39 people. That's only about 7 percent; it's usually about 15 to 18 percent.
Thanks to all of those who participated and made the blood drive a success. Morris Library's Gary Shepherd also deserves praise for organizing the event.
