McLafferty / Storage Retrieval
Information about the Library's McLafferty Annex and Storage facilities and requesting materials located there.
There are two library off-site storage facilities located off McLafferty Road on University Press Drive: McLafferty Annex and Storage.
Please note:
- Requests must be placed at least 2 hours before a scheduled delivery to arrive at that time.
- Items will be held at the Circulation Desk for 3 days then returned to the shelves.
- Weekends, holidays and other days the library is closed will not count as days held.
- No notice to pick up the item will be sent.
- Requests for retrieval will not appear in your I-Share account.
Delivery Schedule
Monday - Friday: 10am, 2pm
Saturday: No Deliveries
Sunday: 1pm, 5pm
About the Facilities
McLafferty Annex is open to the public Monday - Friday, 12:00pm to 4:00pm
The McLafferty Annex is located at 1785 University Press Drive, just off McLafferty Rd., in Carbondale. It is over a mile west of the library and the centeral part of campus.
Storage is not open to the public. Under special circumstances, research visits may be scheduled by contacting the Head of Circulation Services, Tammy Winter, at 453-1159 or twinter@lib.siu.edu.
