Borrowing From Another Library

— filed under:

Request a book or other item that Morris Library does not own, using either I-Share or interlibrary loan.

If you can't find an item you want at Morris Library in I-Share, please follow these steps:

  1. Check for the item in all I-Share libraries. Items requested from I-Share will arrive quickly, usually within a week. Please do not request articles or journals through I-Share. Books requested through I-Share are held at the Circulation Desk for four (4) weeks and then returned to the lending library.
  2. Request the item through interlibrary loan. Please request articles you cannot find in SIU's print and electronic collections through this service. Items requested through interlibrary loan will take a bit longer than books requested through I-Share. Librarians will search for your item in libraries across the world. You can search libraries worldwide using WorldCat.
